Traditional Guangdong-Style Steamed Egg White Milk Dessert Recipe

Ingredients:
2 eggs


240ml milk


Sugar (to taste)



Instructions:


1. Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites, keeping only the egg whites.


2. Add sugar to the egg whites; no need for a large amount.


3. Stir the egg whites to break them up; do not whip them.


4. Heat the milk to approximately 70°C, then pour it into a container. Allow it to cool, then break the milk skin at the edge and pour out the milk, leaving the milk skin at the bottom of the container with a small amount of milk remaining.


5. Pour the beaten egg whites into the milk and stir evenly. Add sugar according to personal taste and mix thoroughly.


6. Slowly pour the milk mixture from step 5 along the edge of the container holding the milk skin.


7. Cover with plastic wrap and prepare for steaming.


8. Steam over water for 15 minutes.
After steaming, refrigerate the double-skin milk. It can be topped with ingredients such as yellow peaches or honey beans.
